Flashback of … Polaris

Polaris illuminated the Élysée Montmartre stage this Sunday, March 10, in a highly anticipated event. They arrived accompanied by ensembles Paledusk, Thornhill and Silent Planet, delivering a captivating musical experience to the delight of the audience.
We counted down the days to the Polaris show at Élysée Montmartre, and the long-awaited moment has finally arrived. Enthusiasm builds as Jamie Hails, the band’s vocalist, stands alone on stage and begins the striking introduction to Harbinger, from their recent opus, Fatalism. The atmosphere ignites immediately. We’re hugely relieved when the concert goes off without a hitch, despite the fact that the Polaris bus had been damaged a few hours earlier. Nevertheless, they managed to turn up on time for their performance.
The transition to Nightmare goes smoothly, bringing with it a wave of crowd surfers. Hypermania, arriving just after, set the pit alight in a vortex of mosh pits, a clear sign of the crowd’s effervescence.
To the sound of Lucid, the congregation sing along to the choruses, their chants spreading throughout the enclosure. I pull myself up to watch the rest of the show from the balcony. I arrive just in time to witness the start of Landmine, which provokes a circle pit encompassing a vast area of the pit, while “Jesus” is carried in triumph, an almost sacred scene.
